Hey! I’m Maria, a Fine Art Film Photographer based in Fremantle/Walyalup, Western Australia, specialising in Portrait and Branding photography.
Originally from Chile, I moved to Australia in 2016, bringing with me a love for exploration, art, and the beauty found in everyday life.
I'm a creative and adventurous soul, drawn to capturing moments that makes you feel something real. My photography style is emotive, artful, and earthy, always seeking depth and connection in every frame.
I move between a natural, documentary approach, capturing people in their truest moments and artfully curated scenes, where you become the art itself.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, majoring in painting, I approach photography through a painter’s eye, drawn to light, shadow, texture, and colour. I love to experiment, often working with double exposures to create dreamy, magical, one of a kind imagery.
For me, photography isn't just a job, it is a way of being in the world. A way of connecting, seeing, and truly honouring the beauty and uniqueness of ourselves. It is a tool I use to share my perspective and to guide others in seeing themselves with a little more love, light, and clarity.
As a passionate film photographer, I have dedicated myself to preserving the essence of moments, embracing the nostalgia and authenticity that only film can capture. There’s something magical about the way film photography slows you down and forces you to be fully present with what’s in front of you. Every click of the shutter is intentional and meaningful, and it’s that mindfulness that I bring to every shoot.
My aim is to create a safe space for you, where you feel truly seen and heard. This experience is about you. Whether you're here for a personal portrait session, a creative project, or capturing the next chapter of your life, I want you to feel empowered and confident in your own skin. I want to celebrate what makes you, you, and create images that reflect the light that’s already within you. My approach is about connection, I don’t just want to take your picture, I want to listen to your story, and collaborate with you to create something meaningful that goes beyond just a photo.
For many years, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery, learning what it is I’m truly meant to do with all that life has taught me. Through trial, error, and plenty of growth, I’ve come to realize that my purpose lies in guiding through my art. I believe in the power of photography to create change and inspire others to feel more deeply connected to themselves and the world around them. Whether it’s helping you document your life journey, capturing the heart of your business, or telling the story of a creative project close to your heart, I want to be there to witness it and preserve it.

FAQ
How do i book my session?
Please complete the booking form with as much detail as possible. I will reach out to you with my availability, and once we confirm a date that works, I will send you an invoice. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon receipt of the invoice to secure your booking, with the remaining 50% due the week before the session.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! I understand that photography is an investment, and I want to make it as accessible as possible. I offer flexible payment plans to suit your needs, so you can book your session without financial stress. Feel free to reach out, and we can find a plan that works for you!
Can I postpone my shoot?
The deposit which you pay is non-refundable, but you are able to postpone the date once, at least 3 days in advance. My outdoor shoots are weather dependant, and if it is raining, it automatically gets postponed to another day without it affecting you.
How long does it take to get my images back?
You will get your photos within 3 weeks of the shoot. The time it takes depends on Film Lab opening days and processing times.
Where are you based and do you travel?
Currently serving Perth, Fremantle and down to Margaret River, Western Australia, but I travel throughout the state and also Internationally once or twice a year. You are welcome to email me expressing interest in working with me, with your location and requested dates.
